another week gone by.. oh wells... this week was a little more challenging... there was much more to learn about my vocation... and plus.. the lecturer wasn't very good at explaining... it kind of made it confusing... the way he was pointing here and there everywhere.... it was only when we got to do hands-on did we fully understand the functions.. anyway this weekend was pretty mundane.. i went to taka on saturday noon time with my mom to try out the mooncakes.. in the end we settled on ritz carlton and some pretty unknown brand which tasted not bad... then we went to raffles city to do some shopping where i got myself some clothes, a book, and some other stuff.. haha then at night i played coh with ivan and john and daryl.. ivan and i almost managed to pwn daryl and john if not for the tiger aces which came out in late game.. haha.. to all the army ppl out there.. don't you find that it is really difficult to maintain contact with your friends.. not just girls.. the other guys too... maybe i'm the type of person who treasures the relationships i have with all my friends, but it really gets difficult.. it's hard to strike up a conversation that both sides can maintain.. basically cause both parties are doing totally DIFFERENT things.. and everyone has their own lives.. it just seems as if everyone just broke up... and it's really difficult to meet up... basically cause of each individual schedules.. so try to meet up regularly.. like say once or twice a month? keep in contact.anyway, mooncake fest's coming up! wee.. one of my favourite festivals.. it's just that i don't get alot of time this year to celebrate it.. haha..
i'm in arty... not as good as i hoped it would be... i got into the worst of arty... the weapon 155mm course... it's where you're trained to handle the operation of the HUGE gun howitzer... well for this week it was pretty lax cause we had to handle alot of admin stuff. and settle the stores.. omg my 5-piece rod in my rck (rifle cleaning kit) just blew up into a huge 8-piece PIPE!! it's like HUGE... and everything suddenly becomes so big and so... big... and the amount of oil we use like triple quadrupled... we even have oil PUMPS to help spray the oil... oh well at least i haven't started learning how to USE them yet.. just to label them.. and for this week we also had these leadership lectures which started in bmt.. it's like pretty useless yet good cause you get time to sleep... we watched " a few good men" for a discussion session. my my the show was really not bad.. especially the court sessions where you see the lawyers shoot each other off and think on their feet! it's like they can come up with counter-arguments within seconds... ANYWAY, the rest of the week was basically just that... wasting time... other than the IPPT on friday which got all my muscles aching now... maybe next week i'll bring some differentiation in to practice... keep my brain moving...
oh today i went down to orchard to visit stella and chien's stall at lime flea market.. and there they were selling all the earrings and accessories.. it's always fascinating to see how much accessories a girl can carry around. earrings, bangles, rings, bag accessories.... lots of 'em... so if any girl out there reading this needs any of this stuff.. or would like to add colour to her bag, please patronise boutons. haha.. stella see free advertising for you... haha.. anyway bought a pair of earrings for my sis.. haven't really been seeing her much due to her studying for her promos. (i hope) oh well hope she likes them.. oh yeah.. anyone who hasn't watched hairspray, go watch it!!! it's really really good.. especially the music.. it's like this grease kind of musical show.. no spoilers here don't worry... just go watch!! haha..
