week
i have to blog about the week before last week. It was totally awesome. Firstly, i was clearing my off so i practically didn't need to go back to work at all, except on wednesday to watch the recruits POP. It was a really proud moment. Well although i was having a fever the night before and was feeling a little lousy, i was really contented to be able to watch this batch of recruits pop. From ignorant and really defiant people, they've grown more mature and understanding. Well okay but that wasn't the best part.Thursday was maundy thursday and there was thursday night service. I was playing alongside my teacher as usual, but oh my the music is so beautiful. He never stops to amaze me. haha. and everyone said it was good too. Friday was at sentosa with YA, well the turnout wasn't that good, but oh well. We left for sentosa by monorail at 12. AND THE QUEUE WAS SOOO LONG!!! like wow. we split up to queue for the tickets at both the automatic counter and the manual one. In the end, the automatic counter was still faster. We rode miss orange to sentosa. it was a really hot day that day. In conclusion, it was a relatively fun day, playing monkey and donkey, spontaneously organised by Wilson. Oh and after all that, Lin Shen invited us to go to Amara Sanctury Resort on sentosa. It's this 6 star resort. like 6-star... while the rest played tennis, some of us bummed around in the hotel room. It really is nice. Not as big as the ritz, but nice enough. The fun thing is the toilet. there are no locks!! and there's this cupboard which has two doors on either side. So there's no backing. And you can enter the toilet from the cupboard. and there's this huge circle tinted glass window at the side. So it's pretty open actually. on friday night, i went over to john's place to jam. Piano and sax. Really reallly cool stuff... we started on 100 years and abit of superman. haha. it was pretty successful. then after that while we were just relaxing, amelia invited me to go tanning on saturday with rowell ruth dan and john too. so it was back to sentosa on saturday.
sentosa on saturday was fun. partly because john drove in. so it saved us the trouble of queueing up for the bus or the monorail. yup. we swam around siloso beach, and went over to the small island too. and amelia bought this small green rubber beach ball.. somehow while passing it to amelia, it drifted into a rock formation and was lost in it.. there goes 5 bucks for the ball... stupid rocks... and after that we went to sakae at harbourfront for sushi. wow it was a really full meal. we headed back to johns house to play settlers, then supper at serangoon gardens coffee bean. i love the chocolate ice blend there.. really nice and chocolatey. we played pictionary there, where tan ying drew blindly, where her elephant din look like it, and among other funny rules like drawing without lifting the pen from the paper, and drawing with your non master hand. beautiful saturday spent fully without alcohol!
on sunday it was even cooler! my sister and many other ppl were baptised! on easter sunday! and in the evening my family went to my uncle, actually my cousin's restaurant at robertson walk. It's called brazillian churascarian. Nice brazilian barbequed food. with really really nice garlic bread. and sydney drives a really cool lotus elise!! like how cool! and i got to ride it!! he went really fast in it too!!! like super fast! and the car handles really great and responsive!!
all in all it was a really good week... i'll post about my first salsa clas soon!
